Description: The Contracting Manager will be responsible for the overall implementation, maintenance, and data entry of customers requiring specific pricing structures. The Manager will oversee the contracting associates to ensure that all allowances and pricing are inputted accurately.
Essential Job Functions:
? Thorough knowledge of pricing strategies on all products, to include an in depth knowledge of products available
? Accountable for meeting deadlines on bid submission and expirations
? Communicate internally with other departments as well as externally to ensure accurate pricing and allowance structures are in place.
? Lead and hold accountable all contracting associates
? Creation and maintenance of reports that will allow you to make recommendations and action plans to management
? Interpret cause and effect of technological implications as pertaining to manufacturing allowances and bid inputting, including net and gross pricing
? Thorough understanding of Margin on Sell and Cost Plus Markup Structures and Applications
? Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize Several Project Consecutively
? Highly analytical and detail oriented on software programs as pertaining to the contracting duties
? Establish productive relationships with the broker and manufacturing communities.
? Collection, analyses, and reporting of weekly reports; including but not limited to deviations, closeouts, credits, repays, allowances and rebates.
? Creation, maintenance, and enforcement of company and administrative policies and procedures.
? Maintain and coordinate communication and teamwork with all other Company departments in order to ensure overall success of the Company?s strategies. Specifically creating a collaborative relationship with the purchasing and sales departments.
? Set, track and analyze departmental & individual goals and objectives. Create action plans for targeted items needed to ensure continuous growth.
? Stay abreast of industry knowledge, technology, and communication tools.
Education & Experience
High degree of computer skills
